Bilbao is situated along a river in a valley between the mountains. With mountains on two sides, there are many hikes which provide excellent views of the city from above.
The hike to Pagasarri Mountain is very step and follows a small road. It is very popular with local cyclists and hikers.
In addition to nice views of the city in the valley, there are glimpses of Portugalete and the coast in the distance.
