This hike can be started by watching the dramatic sunrise through the valley fog from Chisapani. If it's clear then the big mountains to the north, Dorje Lakpa, Domeblanc, and Lempo Gang the 7000m peak, can be seen.
The trail is a small road and is mostly flat or downhill with a few minor uphill stretches.
This is a 'Teahouse Trek' which means that there are plenty of hotels and restaurants available along the way so camping and cooking are not required.
These hikes can be combined to make a nice three day loop through the Kathmandu Valley:
Nepal Trek: Sundarijal to Chisapani
Nepal Trek: Chisapani to Nagarkot
Nepal Trek: Nagarkot to Naya Basti
